This quote from Nelson Mandela comes from a speech he made during the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, Pretoria, South Africa, on 4th December 1997.

While we are all aware of Nelson Mandela's lifelong fight in South Africa against the horrific apartheid regime of the time, we should not forget his support and fight for the liberation of all oppressed peoples around the world--in particular his opposition to the Israeli military occupation of Palestine, involving limits to movement of Palestinians, the displacement of thousands of families, the destruction of homes and the establishment of illegal settlements on the West Bank.
