Want to experience a Hallmark Movie / seaside café existence without any of the responsibilities? Come stay in our 1974 Tabbert camper in historic Port Medway. Located behind Rosefinch Mercantile and Tea Room (an 1850s general store we've turned into a charming café and curios shop), you'll enjoy privacy and community in whatever ratio you prefer. 90 minutes from Halifax, enjoy delightful food, fancy tea and coffee, and delicious baked goods—all while experiencing authentic maritime village life. Breakfast lunch and dinner available.

The space

The trailer is default set up with one seating area and one sleeping area, but each area can be converted. So you can have two seating areas (great for working on a creative project!) or two sleeping areas. Also, please feel free to hang out in the community garden!

Guest access

Guests are welcome to spend time in the cafe during opening hours, from 10am to 5pm (or later, if we are having an evening event). You can sit in the sunny front window and meet the whole town, or hunker down in the little nook in the back and work on your novel.

Other things to note

Breakfast / lunch / dinner delivery is available for an additional fee, just let us know when you book and we'll sort it out.

About Rosefinch Mercantile

Rosefinch Mercantile and Tea Room is a beloved gathering place where locals and visitors connect over artisanal coffee, fresh baked goods, soups and sandwiches, and community events ranging from Crafternoon to Show and Tell to Drag Brunches.

What to do in Port Medway

Port Medway offers a blend of maritime heritage and natural beauty along Nova Scotia's South Shore. Start your exploration at the iconic Medway Head lighthouse, a picturesque beacon that has guided mariners for generations, then wander through the historic Old Port Medway Cemetery to discover stories from the area's past. Art enthusiasts shouldn't miss the rotating exhibitions at Seely Hall, while nature lovers can drive the rugged beauty of Long Cove Road for stunning coastal vistas. Take to the water with kayaking adventures through the sheltered harbours and inlets, or simply enjoy walking around town to soak in the maritime atmosphere and visit the working wharf where fishing boats still bring in their daily catch. Complete your visit with a stop at Seaport Gifts and Treasures for some local finds and souvenirs that capture the essence of this authentic fishing village.
